dear barbara,i cannot help with margaret but the griffiths valuation,1851,co.cork lists 2 mary mehigan,s.hope this is of some help to you.they are both from the mizen and lived fairly close to each other and must have known of each other.the first mary is listed as an occupier or renter at the townland of gortnacarriga,her landlord is listed as thomas hall,it is located in theparish of kilmoe as is castlemehigan.the second mary lived at thetownland called ballydehob.her landlord is listed as patience noble.she was located in the adjoining parish of skull.i hope that this may be of some use to you.good luck,jim
