Larry - there are many variations of the Gaelic name Mehegan, Meghen, Meehan, Meighan, etc. The original spelling is:
Miadhachain with a slash over the last "a". This comes from a book at the University of Virginai transcribed for me by a very distant Mehegan cousin.
