I am looking for further information on the above. The only thing I know is:

FACTS KNOWN:
JAMES MEHIGAN, was born on May 24, 1853, in Ringaskiddy, Cork Co., to TIMOTHY MEHIGAN (mother unknown) in Ireland, and served in the Royal Navy between the ages 18 and 50. He married, ELIZABETH SULLIVAN, at Newport Roman Catholic Church on April 20, 1882 located in Newport, Isle of Wight, England. She was the daughter of DANIEL SULLIVAN (mother unknown), born about 1861 and died in 1886 in Isle of Wight, England.

I believe this is the James Mehigan that lived in Isle of Wight, Littlehampton, and Hampshire, all in England. AND, that he married Ann O'REILLY after the death of his first wife (again, no absolute evidence on that -- it is just leading there. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!~

Notes:
James Mehigan birthdate, and place of birth taken from Royal Navy Records.
Marriage to Elizabeth Sullivan taken from Isle of Wight Historical Society records.
