I too am in search of my ancesters. My fathers name was Donald Eugene Mehegan. He was born Aug 26,1915 in Ct. His fathers name is John Mehegan. I have no info on his father except that he left there family when my father was young. Rumor has it that he started another family out west some where. My dad had 3 or 4 brothers and 1 sister. They grew up in Far Rockway. From what i understand my family is origionally from ireland. If you have any info that might possibly help out please e-mail me thanks I too was born in 1972. I thought that that was interesting.
