Hey Jim, That "H" can be troublesome at times. I've seen it used after the "g" but can't recall seeing it used between the "e" and "i" before.
You wrote that you're family left Co. Cork. Is that where they are from? We were primarily from the Co. Monaghan area and a couple from Co. Armagh. Back in the old days borders weren't so keenly defined.
Do you live in the States? I'm in NJ.
