dear gail,i found 1 mention of mehagan in the griffiths 1851 valuations,co. cork.courtesy of bob meehan of dunwoody,GA.it seems that a timothy mehagan rented or leased a townland called knockgorm from a lord kinsale during that year.the property was located in the parish of kilroan, which i am sorry to say,i cannot find on my cork, ross or cloyne dioceses maps.i am just assuming that it was located in the kinsale bay area.good luck, good hunting, cousin.jim mehigan
