I have heard of one of my family members fighting/riding with Pancho Villa as well. My grandfather's name was Ernest Mejia Castillo, and Mejia was either his mother's or grandmother's maiden name. Our recent family is from around the Pleasanton, TX area. Beyond that I don't know many specifics, just that my grandfather's mother was a mix of Mexican/Indian and Polish or something like that. Unfortunately I don't know many specific things about that side of my family, but I have heard that rumor, too. And my grandfather spelled his name Mejia.
