My dad told me that one of our relatives (great grandfather or earlier) fought alongside Pancho Villa also, my grandmother's maiden last name was Mejia born 1925. Her parents left her at a Catholic orphanage (along with her brother, don't know his name or age) and promised to return, but never did and she immigranted to the U.S. (don't know what happened to her brother's or parents, it is assummed her parents were killed for being Apache Indians) in the 1950's. Her parents names are thought to be Javier Mejia and Rachel Cervantes both born 1899. My grandmother was a very private women (she died in 2000) and never told her husband or five children that she was Apache or that she had four other children (and probably two other husbands) before marrying their father (my grandfather).
