Combining the Surname thru DNA testing
Hi all.
I haven't been very active on the forum for years but now that I am retired, I hope to re-involve myself.
We have 17 different spellings for various varieties of Milburn - Milbourn - Milbourne - Mylbourn - Melbourne to list a few. Some have geographical significance others religious. However I feel we all inter-relate back at common crossroads historically/ genealogically approximately 1600 in the Tyne River region of the Scottish Middle March on the border of England with the Elliots, Armstrongs, Grayhams and Bells.
I have recently taken " a jump chronologically " to what I believe one of the primary home lands of our particular Clan using features available very economically from WWW.FamilyTreeDNA.com. This will work with any of you who are direct male decendants of or last name. A simple swab test, $200.00 and 3-4 weeks of waiting will connect us back 20 generations to the Border area of Scotland and England, dumping us into the Border Reivers and "Braveheart days of 1400-1600! It's a great Christmas present!
I have my results to us as a baseline and there are several sites that will assist.
Join me by utilizing this wonderful tool and let's get together....
Check their site and utilize the Christmas sale price of $199!
