Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Walter is dead, that's why he was listed on the social security death index. I wouldn't be able to find Ruth on the social security death index because I do not know her married name. When someone dies they do not list them on the social security death index under their maiden name , it's under their married name. I think she would have been born about 1905-08 ? But I really don't know.
That would be wonderful if your son could ask. Thanks so much.
