I,ve been trying for some time to find the father of the Jesse Melton in the 1790 Census in Anson NC .
The other day I came across a old post on a web site that dosen,t work any more . So I can,t ask them where they got their information for this line so I can double check the research for him .
The line goes like this .
Richard Milton b. 1536 b. England d. England
Thomas Milton b.1570
Richard Milton b. 1595 d. 1690 in VA ,Came on ship The Supply
William Melton b. 1617 in England d. 1670
William Michael Melton b. 1647
Richard Melton b. 1670 d. 1730
William James Melton b. Dec. 11 , 1698 d. abt. 1751-1755
Thomas Melton b.1727 d. 1780
Jesse Melton b. 1772 d. Sept. 1833 says Jesse was born in VA
Jesse B. Melton b. 1809 d.Apr. 4 1890
John D. Melton b. 1832 d. 1895
Minor M. Melton b. Aug. 30, 1866 d. Oct. 23, 1947
Thanks for any help on this Melton Line .
