Ruth, Stuart, and the two girls show up in the 1920 census for Denver, CO and in the 1930 census for Glenda, CA. Stuart died in Los Angeles County on September 18, 1962. Ruth died in Pine Grove, CA on December 29, 1992.

The 1920 census says Ruth's father was born in Georgia and her mother in Louisiana. Stuart's middle initial on the 1930 census is W. The California Death Index gives that middle initial as U. His WWII draft registration has his middle name as Urvin and his signature is S U Pierce.

I haven't found any Ruth's born in Texas around 1890 who could be her. I'll have to look to see if I have any candidates who could be her parents. If I'm successful, I'll post another message.
