Hi - I believe my family name may originally have been Mendoza and that the "de" was added to the name by my father. My father served in World War 1, and was enlisted in San Juan. I believe he was born in Rio Grande, PR. His parents may have been Juana Bautista and Pedro Mendoza. He migrated to New York and never returned to PR.
