Please allow me to make a correction. "Sefarad", "Sephardim", "Sephardic" does not mean Eastern Jew. Sefarad is the Hebrew word for Spain and Portugal. Hence a Sefardi is a Jew form the Iberian peninsula. A Jew from Eastern and Central Europe is call Askenazi. You may want to visit Sephardim.com located at http://www.sephardim.com
