The 1896 grave of Matias Demetrio Mendoza was about the oldest grave I found.
This was all done by walking past each grave in the cemetery. It took two days! I got to the back section but couldn’t be bothered going further, as I thought that may not be part of the older cemetery. For future researchers I had done mostly up to the second roundabout, near the back, the Caridad section on the right and, I think, the Esperanza section on the left.
This is the only cemetery I visited in Seville, the only one on the map, but it is large, a kilometre or so outside the city gates at 'La Maccerena'.
There is also a Mendoza Rios (Street) in Seville. Who knows, it could be named after your ancestor!
All the best,
