1850 Davisdon Co, TN Census October 2, 1850, 9th Civil Dist. Pg 234b states: Joseph W. Dabbs 33 b Va Mary D. Dabbs 43 b TN Lucy A Dabbs 7 b TN Eliza J Dabbs 3 b TN Minerva Mineace (or maybe Mineau) 15 b TN (really does not look like the enumerator spelled Menees) Ricard C. Dabbs 14 b TN Ann P Dabbs 12 b TN Possibly this Mary D was a Ham who married a Menees then Dabbs/Dobbs. The spelling for Minerva's last name looks more like what is written above but we know the enumerators spelled phonetically a lot of times. This family was emuerated next to Samuel Ham which could have been Mary's father. Does anyone have a Minerva Menees b around 1835 and can tell me if her Mother was Mary D Ham Menees Dabbs? If she is a Menees can anyone tell me Minerva's father. Richard and Ann are listed below everyone else in this census, so I figure Mary is not their mother, but step-mother. Also, how does Mills Creek Baptist Church play into the Menees family. Does anyone know where I can get info on all the pastors who served this church? The Samuel Ham mentioned above is buried in this church's cemetery in 1854. Notify Administrator about this message?
