Thank you for your information Mary. It seems to make sense date wise. I just received a copy of Lafayette's death certificate though and his parents are listed as "Jim Menser" and "Mary ?". Am awaiting a copy of his marriage license and hopefully that will reveal more information given by Lafayette himself.
