Mary,
I realize this posting is now quite old, but hope you are still active and this reaches you. I'm researching my Menser, Croft and Alexander ancestors. I was wondering if you knew any details on the Catherine Menser listed in your posting?
My GG/GF James R. Croft, married a Catherine Menser. According to the Melbourne W. Croft Book, Croft Roots and Branches 1700's - Present, published in 2000, James R. Croft born 1825, married Catherine Menser on Feb. 28, 1843 in Hopkins County, KY. Catherine was born June 20, 1826, died Sept. 12, 1919 in Carterville, Williamson County, Illinois. I realize that you have the dob for your Catherine as "ca 1828" and he has two years earlier
(1826)is it possible that these two Catherine Menser's are one and the same?
Sincerely.
Stan Edmunds
