I find your posting thought provoking because I haven't worked on the MENSER line in a while. What kind of proof do you have to support that Malinda Ann Lantrip was the mother of Elizabeth J Menser, wife of James O'Roark? Elizabeth was the half-sister of my great-grandmother, daughter of Solomon D Menser and his second wife, Sarah M Russ (or Rust.) Solomon D's first wife was Elizabeth J Menser, probably the daughter of Thomas C Menser. Mary Ann Menser who married Thomas Lantrip was, I believe, a sister to Solomon D Menser. His mother was Dorothy "Dolly" Croft, wife of (another) Solomon Menser and she signed Mary Ann's marriage application with her mark and some official made the notation "Mother." Solomon D and Elizabeth J (Sr) had three children: Elizabeth J (Jr); Francis M (a son); and Solomon W.
