Mary: I got my information from Sue Monks. I have looked at my information and here is what I have and is an assumption: James Pat & Margaret are part of John Croft heirs estate sale on 16 May 1849 when 150 acres on Buffalo Creek was sold to Read Wright (General Grantor Deeds L-M; Hopkins Co, KY, Bk 14, p. 312)
Dorothy "Dolly" Croft married Solomon Menser and was Margaret & Martha's oldest sister.
James Pat would then be Solomon's oldest son and is why he is not enumerated in the 1850 census since he had already married Margaret 5 yrs before.
If we could look at James & Margaret's original marriage bond it might give us some additional information. I have not seen it in my search of records in Christian County.
I have tracked Solomon to living in Hickman County from 1826 - 01 September
