I visited Bloomer's gravesite today. He is my 2 great uncle (my 2 great grandfather is John Marion Merck). Both John Marion and their brother Israel fought in the war under A.P. Hill and both were supposedly at Gettysburg. I am just beginning to dabble into the family line and am very interested to know where John Marion's grandfather Daniel Merck is buried along with Daniel's father and grandfather, who both are reported to have died somewhere in the Abbeville, SC district. Any information about their gravesites would be much appreciated!
