Your grandmothers name wouldn't happened to be spelled Axie would it? My sister is named Axie. Pronounced Ax-e. Is that the right pronunciation for your grandmothers name? Did she have a sister or ralative by the name of Dicie? The reason I ask this is because my mother Martha Merida Baker named my sister after sisters with the same name.
All of the Meridas and Bakers were from the Knox county area of Ky.
I have little info on any of them because we seldom ever seen one another but the ones I did see Lived in the Barbourville area.
My part of the family moved to Bell county In 1950. It was in a mining camp about five miles outside of Pineville called Arjay. Pronounced R-Jay.
Axie, Dicie and myself live in Illinois.
My web address is, [email protected]
PS The little bit that I could get out of My mother about grandpa Addison is that he got around alot which, she held against him and seem to have never forgiven him about.
