I was at the library this weekend. I found some mentions of Merrills in a few books and copied them down. Unfortunately, none of the info matched my Merrills but maybe it will match yours.

Gilead Cemetary - Hebron, Connecticut
Esther Merrill, wife of John, died Aug 14, 1786, age 73 years.
Fowler Merrill, son of John and Sarah, died Jan 7, 1793, age 23 years.
John Merrill, died May 6, 1820, age 82 years.

Alexander Merrill married Lovina Potter - Jan 1, 1828
Edward Merrill married Mary Darrow, Both of New London, November 6, 1823.

Joseph Merrill married Abigail Stone, of Guilford, Connecticut, on March 13 1741 in New Hartford, Connecticut.
