What I am trying to do, is establish what is Rosalee's maternal grandmother's maiden name.

1850 Gilmer Co., GA
William MERRELL married Nancy T. __?__ unknown, his parents are Joseph and Jane BYERS MERRELL NC (listed in this census)
children: Samuel A. (children listed with Mother in 1860)
William B.
Elizabeth A.

1860 Fannin Co., GA Nancy is a widow

1870 Gilmer Co., GA Nancy has remarried Franklin B. WALKER and has three children, Martha A., James B., Leander; also listed in this grouping is William B. Merrell, Elizabeth A. Merrell.

Samuel A. marries Rebecca DAVIS in Gilmer Co., GA goes to AL and buys land in 1898, family stays, Jackson Co., AL
Rosalie b. GA
Mary J. b. GA
William A. b. GA
Flora (Florrisa in 1880) A. b. GA

William B. marries Geneva __?__ possible in TX as she is born there, lives first in Parker Co. then lives/dies in Montague Co., TX
Gertrude b. TX
Stella b. TX
Fred Carl b. TX
Grady L. Henry b. TX

Elizabeth A. marries James M. ALLEN, 1880 Gilmer Co., GA listed with children Alice 5y, Nancy 3y, Susan 3/12 born March and in the family is a laborer, Clark, Paster (?sp) age 15 born GA
Alice Rosalee b. GA (Alice R. Allen on marriage to James T. Clark, Jackson Co., AL)
Nancy b. GA
Susan b. GA
Necy A. b. GA
William E. b. GA
Birtie V. b. GA
John V. Hushel b. AL

***Can anyone help with identifying Nancy T. __?__ , or where she married William Merrell in NC. BTW, the MERRELL's trace back to Hopewell, New Jersey.

This is not my family, just trying to rid a grafter, with more established proof on my part, which I am a stickler. My husband line has a Nancy Telitha Tucker who married a Robert Searcy and had three sons, proof for this is the Cherokee Rolls of 1849, 1851, 1852; 1850 Gilmer Co., GA census, 1860 Wayne Co., MO census, Tucker family bible, Guion Miller Roll 1907, "unfortunately" even showing this to her, she still states our Nancy is hers.

Thanks, Pat Tucker/New Jersey
