Here is what I know of Warren. Married Nov 1822 in Westfield, MA to Huldah Griswold. She was born ca. 1806 in CT. They resided in the Southwick/Westfield area until around 1840, then moved to Enfield, CT where Rufus died around 1843. His death was not registered in Enfield vital records.

Warren and Huldah had a son named Homer Warren who died young in Westfield. They also had I believe four other children, all born in MA., likely in Westfield or Southwick.

After Warren's death, Huldah and family moved to Brooklyn, NY where in 1860 she was residing at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Jacob C. Valentine and wife Adeline. Also residing there are three or four of Adeline's siblings.

I would like to find the parantage of Warren, as I believe that he may be the son of Israel and Olive (____) Messenger of Granby, CT. They had a son who was born 1791-1800 who I have yet to identify. The 1800 census has him residing with his (parents?) but in 1810, he is gone. His (father?) died in Aug 1803 and his mother (Olive?) resided with another son Israel, Jr. until her death in 1817. Israel and Olive also had a daughter who I have yet to identify as well, that may be Wealthy Messenger who married Laban Aldrich in Southwick in 1803 or 04, but that is another story.
