I am really getting conflicting written (both published, and internet) information from various sources in regards to the royal descent claims on the Thomas Messenger (b.1661, Boston) and Elizabeth Mellowes line. Some written sources state that through the Bulkeley genealogy there are two Royal (English) lines, (Henry II and John), then others state that there is no viable proof for either descent from royalty (perhaps they are forgeting about the Scots, Irish, and Welsh Royalty?). Does anyone have an idea of how I can confirm this linage, or where to obtain proof of descent, which would be suitable to the College of Arms, London? I am aware that Debretts will not show that many descendants! Thanks. Leon Messenger, Lincoln, NE
