I am a descendent of Daniel Messner, b 1828 in Ohio, but also have no information on his parentage. I have been told he died of his injuries in the Indian Wars in Yamhill, Oregon. I've seen his tombstone. I have much information on his marriage and descendents - is this of interest to you? He left many descendents in Oregon, and I know some intereting stories about him. In the time since you posted, have you found anything about his ancestry? Thank you.
