Hi Mary,
The Flint Hills is actually in Kansas. I just came back from the Lawrence, KS area looking for the cemetery where my gggrandparents were buried. They are John Stutsman and Malinda Weybright Stutsman. Their daughter Zora married John Franklin Metsker and there are many Metskers buried in that cemetery. It is the Washington Creek Cemetery associated with the Washington Creek Church of the Brethren.
I was told by a local that there are many Metskers in the Lone Star area which is located in the Lawrence KS area. Good luck, I hope this helps.
Jan Reed
