I was just looking over some METZ info and checking siblings and dates for Jacob and Leonard METZ'. Samuel Leonard and Sarah METZ had several children possibly all born in Pennsylvania (Marion or Monongahela counties).

Son Jacob was born in 1833,with two older siblings and 4th younger being a William METZ and then several more siblings with unusual names (Lamich and Dolly to mention two).

This William METZ could possibly be about the correct age to have served in the Civil War.

If you still have access to the Pension letter from Civil War would you please scan it for me also. Please make subject reference to genealogy /Metz family research.

There is also another William from a Tapley METZ side of the family in West Virginia.

Thank you,
Deborah METZ ANDREWS
