Help with academic research paper

I have to write a research paper for a disciplinary writing course and have chosen to write about the accuracy of genealogical data found on the internet vs. traditional sources (published records, indexes, etc. and original documents). I am hoping to get responses from people who have had positive experiences, as well as people who have had negative experiences, with online genealogy information and data.

If you are interested in sharing some of your information and experiences, I would greatly appreciate it. The information you provide will be used to frame a formal research framework and questionnaire. The information provided will be held completely anonymous and no personally identifying information (such as your name) will be collected.

To participate, please take the survey I’ve created at surveymonkey.com which is accessible via :
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=nAsbtnisiQ2Km89y4A1O_2bg_3d_3d

The survey has a total of 25 main questions (17 yes/no and multiple choice, 8 short answer – 1 sentence – questions) and 3 demographic questions. The survey is designed to skip follow up questions if they are unnecessary. The total time to complete all 28 questions is 13-15 minutes. The survey will be available until 2 March 2009.

If you have any questions about the nature of the research or survey, or the veracity of this post, please feel free to email me at thomas.d.maloney@gmail.com or tdm64@nau.edu with “Genealogy Study” in the subject line.
