Drusilla,
start by getting a copy of your birth certificate,
that will have some info on it.
Do you know when and where your parents were married?
If you do a copy of their marriage license will have alot
more info such as their names and ages at time of marriage,their parents names(your grandparents).
Birth and death certificates are a great wealth of info.
Death certificates also have social security numbers on them.Do you know when and where your dad passed away?
If so try and get a copy of his death certificate.
