He was a farmer and she was a domestic. His parents were Joseph Charles Manery and Agnes Peters. Her parents were Orlan S. Rhodes and Sarah Fellman. Information for death of Joseph C. Manery: Covert, County of Van Buren, Record #2785, Joseph Manary, died 30 September 1896, married man, 50 years old. Information from the Bay County, Michigan marriage records, record number 457, date of record 2 August 1871: -Place of marriage: Mendon, Bay County, Michigan -date of marriage: July 27, 1871 -Joseph Charles Manary, residing in Bay City at time of marriage, born in Canada, occupation of "sawyer", 26 years of age. -Rebecca E. Wilson, residing in Bay City at time of marriage, born in East Saginaw, MI., 18 years of age. There was a Joseph Charles Manary that was born abt. 1843 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, son of William Robert Manary and Sarah? Is Agnes Peters, noted as the mother of Joseph T. Manery in his marriage record, the second wife of his father? Or, is there another Joseph Manery? In the 1880 census for Monitor, Bay County, MI, there is Joseph Manary, age 34; wife Rebecka, age 25; son, Victor, age 11; son, Charles, age 4; son, Otto, age 1. In the 1900 census for Covert Township, Van Buren Co., MI: -Agnes Manery, born June 1843 in Scotland, age 56, widow, came to USA in 1882, been in USA for 18 years -Joseph T. Manery, born October 1882, born in Michigan, age 17, day laborer, parents born in Scotland -Agnes Manery, born February 1884, born in Michigan, age 16, parents born in Scotland Hopefully this doesn't muddy the waters to much.
