I found a Charles C. Kelsey, who may or may not be yours I will leave it to you if you want to check him out some more.
In the 1930 census, in Gaines twp, Kent County, MI, there is a 23 year old Chas. C. KELSEY. It states he was born in New Mexico. Now, for the not-great part: He was a patient in the "Christian Psychopathic Hospital Association, Incorporated." Bear in mind, they instituted people for a lot of things they weren't sure of way back when that we wouldn't today, i.e. depression, etc.
In the 1910 census I found Chas. H. KELSEY, age 38, born Iowa, father born Missouri, wife was Henrietta, age 35, born IL, father born IL and mother born OH. With them is a three year old Charles.... This was McKINLEY County, Mew Mexico on an Indian reservation.I will see if I can find out more about the parents from this census.
Now, I am not sure this next guy is the exact same one, but in the Michigan deaths, there is a Charles KELSEY who was born May 10, `1905, and died April 12, 1976. Place of death listed as Walker, Kent, Michigan, but residence listed as New Mexico.
