My ancestors, the Ebairs and my great great grandfather Eugene Carmel lived in the same settlement in Ira around Anchorville in St. Clair, during the same period. My great grandfather Edmund Eugene Carmel was born there in 1870. My grandfather, Henry Charles, Carmell, however, was born on a farm in Tuscola near Akron.
