The trophy reads: "IN MEMORY OF EDMOND MAJESKI USMC CLASS OF 1941 KILLED IN ACTION ON IWO JIMA FEB 28, 1945. HISTORY: Edmond, along with his brother's John, Leon, and Walter, were orphaned by 1928 and fostered out of St. Vincent de Paul's Orphanage out of Detroit, MI. My dad, Edward J. Blach, fifth child and 4 yrs old, was not fostered out, but raised by his maternal grandparents near Kinde, MI in Huron County: Martin Horetski + Margaret "Maggie" Peyok German Settlers. Edmond's tombstone name reads "Edmond (Majeski) Blach, buried next to Wesley & Dorothy "Delta?" Any additional knowledge regarding the Life and Times of my uncle Edmond is most appreciated. Thank you. God Bless Notify Administrator about this message?
