USA spelling: MICHALIK.
There is a family named under Walter Michalik who lives in Wisconsin. The family is of Polish and Belgin decent. Walter is a twin and he fathered twins so they run in the family. I do not know if this will lead you in the right direction. What I know about the decendents is that his parents would have migrated to US in early 1900's. Maybe during the German Occupation of Poland in the 40's The imagrants both died at the ages of 50+ of cancer. The family does have relatives in Germany.
