Brig. Gen'l John H. Michaelis

I am searching for information on this man and his family. Years ago, an aunt of my mother's had said a Michaelis married into our family and that he was a general during the Korean War. I have found a little on his military career, but nothing on his private life (who his wife was, children, etc.). He was a four star general. He rec'd the nickname "Iron Mike" and was Chief of Staff of the 101st Airborne Division at the age of 32. I believe he may have died in the early 1980's. Are their any Michaelis relatives out there who know of this family? His wife's maiden name could have been Norman and they probably lived in Kansas before his military career took off. Would love to "prove or disprove" this story. Thanks!
Diane Carter
