David Michie to Canada around 1835?

Trying to find any connection to David Michie who immigrated to Canada sometime around 1830's to Montreal. He was a brewer and married Leocadie Valiquet. On his marriage certificate his parents are listed as Alexander Michie and Helen (Irene) Morris. Anyone know where they come from or anything about the family. I know they are Scottish because in the Montreal census they are listed as being of Scottish decesant.
