Sandra, My father, who unfortunately is now dead, mentioned a branch of the Michies in Lanarkshire but I know nothing of them. Wishaw is a prity depressing town and would be more so in the 1920s so your father did the right thing by moving to the US. I always regret not enquiring more about the family history when my parents were around but it was not something they talked about very much. They were probably all sheep rustlers!!!!
