My grandmother's great-grand father was George Michie. George fought in the Revolutionary War with the Colonials and is listed as a patriot by the DAR.

I do not know how the Michie's got to Texas but in the 1820's Elizabeth Watson Michie married B.B. Sullivan of Lockhart, Texas. They both came from Tennessee so they probably married there and moved to Texas later. I'll check my info on the Sullivans.

Elizabth and B.B. had Adelia Mandeville Sullivan who married Jesse Swearingen and had Anna Beth Swearingen. Anna Beth was my father's mother.

I am trying to find what documentation I can about the Michie's from George to Elizabeth Watson. I hope this is of some help. I am going to be tracking it all down so keep in touch.
