Dear Mr. Cotton,

Thanks! Your information mostly ties into mine but I need some clarification.

My ancestor (James Michie 1783- )married Lucy Stoneman (1794-1883)and fathered Elizabeth Watson Michie (1812-1852). She married Bullock Blackstone Sullivan and had Adelia F. Mandeville Sullivan (1838-1929). Adelia married Jesse Swearingen and had Anna Beth Swearingen who was my grandmother.

According to my records, this James Michie (1783- ) was the son of George Michie (1759-1843) who was in the Colonial Army in Virgina.

I cannot clearly tell if we are talking about the sames James Michie. What do you think?

Richard Mohley
