For all who are interested in looking at the records that show the town and county both Michie & Watson are from use this URL from Hugh Tornabene. This gentleman has done a tremendous job and solved a lot of mysteries we have had.

John Michie's prisoner number was 145 and James Watson's was 14. Scroll down to "Preston" and click on the appropriate group. This will show that Michie was from Migvie, Aberdeen(shire), Scotland and Watson from Glenis, Angus(shire), Scotland.
