I am researching the line of William Michie who married Katharine Langlands 4/4/1795 in Forfar, Angus, Scotland. Would like to share info with any other researchers who have info on descendents of this line. William and Katharine(Langlands)Michie immigrated to Nova Scotia Canada circa 1805-1810. Their youngest son John Michie was b.9/24/1803 in Dyce, Aberdeen, Scotland. John Michie m. 6/15/1837 Bithia(Davone)Robertson of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.
John and Bithia(Robertson)Michie's youngest son William Michie b.5/15/1846 Yarmouth, Nova Scotia migrated circa 1867-68 to Charlestown, MA. William Michie m. 11/26/1868 Annie (Cutler)Cowling in Charlestown, MA. William and Annie (Cowling)Michie had at least two sons:
1.) William C. Michie m.4/2/1891 Hattie Elizabeth Dill of Clayton, Alabama.
2.) Robert Langlands Michie m. 11/25/1891 Zillah M. Forbes of Boston MA. Robert and Zillah (Forbes)Michie's son Stuart Michie later moved to Deering, NH.
If any of this line sounds familiar, please respond to Michie Genforum or email I am writing a history for brothers Stuart and Alan Michie (6th Generation from William of Farfar, Scotland)who are celebrating their 25th year in the redimix concrete business in NH. They're an incredible story in themselves. For info on their company visit the Michie Corporation website at:
