There are a bunch of Michies in Charlottesville, Virginia incuding historic Michie Tavern where in the 1700s proprietor Jack Michie hosted the likes of Thomas Jefferson. My grandmother was a Michie and in our family of Michies the last name is pronounced the same as you would pronounce Mickey. One of my relatives, Tom Michie was a Virginia Senator and I know he has an extensive history of the Michie Family tree. You shouldn't have too much trouble locating him. Good luck.
