For all the North Americans visiting this site, the correct Scottish pronounciation is Michie with the "ch" as in Loch (not Lock) as the English are wont to call such places as Loch Ness. The "ch" as pronounced as if one were clearing one's throat in preparation for a spit!
I appear to be one of the few Scottish Michies visiting this forum!

As a matter of interest there is currently a Member of the British Parliament called Rae Michie who is a Liberel Democrat serving Argyll & Bute (I think)
