James Michie (1783-1838)

Has anyone out there possibly ever obtained a copy of any estate/probate documents for James Michie who married Louisa Stoneman? I was interested if they had, in the children mentioned. I have read in several articles that they were married in 1808, but no child is mentioned (George) until 1813. I have a 3rd great-grandmother, Elizabeth Watson Michie, who is often shown in family research as being a child of theirs. Her birthdate of 1812 would be in line with that, but still haven't found proof. Seems a little odd that so much time would elapse before children were born. Can anyone help/correct me on this?
