Seek descendants of any James Roy Micou to determine if any researcher or family member knows anything about the house in Tappahannock in which the family resided between the years 1837-1866, and perhaps as late as 1892 when the house was sold to John Waller Faulconer. The house's present address is 515 Faulconer Circle in Tappahannock, and has been known by the name of Little Egypt, and perhaps during the time Micou was owner, as Cedar Park. The name of son James Roy Micou (III), b. 1859, who was later professor of Latin and Greek languages at Washington College, Chestertown, Kent Co., Md., is scratched in the glass of one of the windows now in a newly-restored potting shed. James Roy Micou, Jr., son of James Roy Micou, Sr. and Fanny Burgess Matthews, was clerk of the Essex County Courts betweeh 1830 and 1887. I'm also seeking a newspaper obituary for James Roy Micou, Jr. (1807-1892), and have not found a surviving issue of a newspaper that announced his death.
