I have been researching men who worked for Vickers Steelworks in Sheffield England and fell in the Great War 1914-18. The result of this research and details about George Minard and his family can be found on

He was killed on the first day of the Somme. Can anybody tell me more about George and his family - He married Hannah Marcer. He was originally from Derby.

Thanks in advance.
