There are so few families that go by the name of Minning in the US. Perhaps some of this information that I have in my database will lead you to a connection. Then maybe we can fill in some blanks. I do not think my records are complete, such as when it comes to having ALL the children of the various marriages. My line is the one that stayed in New Orleans.

I start with Mr. Minning in Germany. Wife unknown.
They had 4 children:

Wilholm b. 10 May 1810 Germany; died in Cincinatti Ohio; married to Anna Katherine BRAMSKE about 1834 in Germany; b. 13 Nov 1807; d. 7 April 1884 in Ohio. Their children are: Louisa (1835-?); Gerhard John George (1837-1904); Henrick (1839-?); Wilholm(1841-?); Franz(1844-?); Anna Katherine(1850-?)
>>>Louis Minning married Jacob Hoffman JR. about 1853
>>>Gerhard John George Minning married Maria Elizabeth HABECOTE in 1860 in Ohio. They had 14 children between 1861-1880.
>>>Henrick MINNING married Kate ? about 1868. They had 5 children between 1867 and 1882.
>>>Wilhom MINNING married Mary ? about 1864. They had 3 children between 1866 and 1872.
>>>Franz MINNING married Amelia ? about 1868. They had 3 children between 1869-1882.
<<<Anna Katherine MINNING married H. A. LANGEBRAK about 1874 in Ohio.

Frantz b. 20 May 1812 in Germany; d. 8 Sep 1877 in Cincinatti, Ohio. Married to Angel DIERKANS.

Henrick B. 1821 GERMANY

Fredrick aka Fritz; b. 1822 Hanover Germany; d. 1903 New Orleans, Orleans parish, Louisiana; m. about 1846 in Germany to Elizabeth HASSENROUGH; she arrived in the US with their 2 sons in November 1857 in New Orleans. Her husband and daughter were already in the US, as were some of Fredrick's brothers/families. Elizabeth Hassenrough was born about 1811 and died in 1867 in New Orleans. Fredrick married (second) to Catherine/ Katrina HAUCK HOUCKE. Whe was born 1834 in Nuhlhofen L.C. Bergzabern, Bavaria (Germany); she died 1926 in New Orleans.

I hope you are still checking this list and will see something that looks familiar when reading this.
