Eric, there's been quite a lot of work done on the Miskimen name and variations, and my understanding is that all variations but one can trace back to David Sr. who came from Carrickfergus, Ireland, as an indentured servant (to Abraham Ferree, whose daughter he later married). The one exception is the MISKIMON name. There was a Miskimon family in the early 1800s (a William and a John in PA if I remember correctly) and they possibly were related to our David, but no one that I know of has ever been able to definitely establish a connection. Sorry I don't have anything more,
